TL;DR
- We got our hands on the OnePlus Pad 4, launching next week.
- The Pad 4 comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite with 12 GB of RAM.
- OnePlus is also launching improved accessories, including a better Stylo Pro pencil and a new keyboard folio.
Ahead of the launch of the OnePlus Pad 4, the company’s next flagship slate, I went hands‑on with it. While I’m bound not to share my verdict just yet, here are the insights from my limited time with the device.
Design
The OnePlus Pad 4 retains the sleek form of its predecessor, measuring just 5.94 mm thick despite a large 13.2‑inch display. It’s also a few grams lighter at 672 g.
The unibody metal shell returns, now offered in new colors: a bronze‑ish “Dune Glow” (the unit I received) and a greenish “Sage Mist”.
The camera placement and OnePlus logo remain unchanged, but the pogo‑pin touch points have moved up on the back to accommodate a cantilever keyboard folio design (similar to Apple’s Keyboard Pro).

Accessories
Stylo Pro Pencil
The new Stylo Pro attaches magnetically to the side of the Pad 4 and charges wirelessly. It now offers 16,000‑point pressure sensitivity and a rubberized tip for better friction. A traditional tip is also included in the box. Both the pencil and the keyboard folio will be sold separately.

Specifications
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- RAM: Up to 12 GB
- Storage: Up to 512 GB
- Cooling: 17 % larger surface area than the Pad 3 (according to OnePlus)
Battery
The Pad 4 houses a 13,380 mAh battery, roughly 10 % larger than the Pad 3’s. OnePlus claims this enables multi‑day standby, and real‑world endurance will be tested in the coming days.
Display & Audio
- Screen: 13.2‑inch LCD, 3K resolution, Dolby Vision support
- Audio: Eight speakers total (four tweeters and four tiny sub‑woofers)

Software
The device runs OxygenOS 16, featuring a multitasking boost that supports up to five simultaneous app windows (floating windows and split‑screen combined). This is one more than the Pad 3, though still behind iPadOS, which imposes no window limit as of the iPadOS 26 update.
Launch Details
- Date: 30 April, 12 noon IST
- Region: Launch confirmed for India; availability in other regions has not been announced.
