Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang on AI GPU Access
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has firmly stated that China should not have access to Nvidia’s “latest and greatest” AI GPU technology, specifically the Blackwell and Rubin lines. He emphasized that the United States should maintain a lead in AI hardware, saying Nvidia are “huge supporters of the United States having the first, the most, and the best”【Nikkei Asia】(https://asia.nikkei.com/business/tech/semiconductors/nvidia-s-jensen-huang-says-china-should-not-have-its-most-advanced-chips).
Speaking at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, Huang noted that the global reach of American AI accelerators boosts tax revenue, strengthens the economy, and supports national security. He argued that restricting China from receiving the current‑generation Blackwell or the next‑generation Rubin accelerators is a way for the U.S. to preserve its lead in frontier AI models.
