Design and Build

Back in January, Nothing shared that it wouldn’t be releasing its flagship Nothing Phone 4 in 2026, and would instead focus on follow‑ups to its mid‑range Phone 3a and Phone 3a Pro. After some expected teasing, the sequels have arrived: the Phone 4a Pro and Phone 4a.

The Nothing Phone 4a Pro marks the biggest visual shift. The translucent back of previous models is replaced by a metal unibody available in black, silver, or pink, paired with an enlarged, brighter Glyph Matrix interface. Nothing describes the 4a Pro as its slimmest phone ever, with IP65 water resistance and improved cooling.

The standard Phone 4a retains the trademark translucent design, now offered in white, pink, black, and blue. It adds IP64 dust‑ and water‑resistance and a brighter “Glyph Bar” that runs in a straight line next to the cameras.

Display

  • Phone 4a Pro: 6.83‑inch AMOLED, 144 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness 5,000 nits. Covered by Gorilla Glass 7i.
  • Phone 4a: 6.78‑inch AMOLED, 120 Hz refresh rate, peak brightness 4,500 nits. Also protected by Gorilla Glass 7i.

Camera System

Both devices feature four rear cameras:

    • 32 MP selfie camera
    • Ultra‑wide lens
    • 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 140× zoom (twice the zoom of the 4a)
  • Phone 4a

    • 50 MP wide lens (64 % more light than the 3a)
    • 32 MP selfie camera
    • Ultra‑wide lens
    • 50 MP tetraprism periscope telephoto lens with 3.5× optical zoom, 7× lossless zoom, and up to 70× ultra zoom
