Deal Overview

Netflix announced a deal to acquire Warner Bros. for $82.7 billion. The purchase will be finalized after Warner Bros.’ planned split from Discovery, now expected to take place in Q3 2026. The acquisition will give Netflix:

  • Ownership of the Warner studio
  • Control of HBO and HBO Max
  • Access to Warner Bros.’ intellectual property portfolio
