Overview
TECNO is one of the more notable smartphone brands globally, thanks to its strong market share in the Middle East and Africa. The company is a fixture at Mobile World Congress (MWC) and has outlined what to expect at MWC 2026.
- TECNO will unveil the CAMON 50 series, a line of camera‑focused phones.
- The POVA 8 series will also be showcased, along with various ecosystem products and concept devices.
CAMON 50 Series
TECNO says the CAMON 50 series will use AI for smarter scene recognition, enhanced processing intelligence, and improved creative flexibility. The company also hinted at AI features for content creation and task management.
An official TECNO Uganda product page already lists several specifications:
- Camera hardware: 50 MP LYTIA‑700C main sensor, 32 MP selfie camera, IP69K rating.
- Software features: 20× AI zoom, AI flare/shadow/reflection removal, “AI auto zoom,” Best Moment 2.0, image‑to‑video generation, upgraded Ella assistant.
- MindHub: A feature comparable to Nothing’s Essential Space for capturing on‑screen content.

POVA 8 Series
The TECNO POVA 8 series will also be presented at MWC. The company describes the lineup as having a “distinctive” design and long battery life.
Last year TECNO released the POVA 7 Ultra, which received a tentative positive hands‑on review (see hands‑on). Expectations are that the POVA 8 series will build on that foundation.
Ecosystem Products and Concepts
In addition to smartphones, TECNO confirmed it will showcase a range of ecosystem products, including:
- Computers
- Smartwatches
- “Smart accessories”
The company also plans to display concepts and prototypes featuring novel form factors and interaction paradigms.
