Meta announced on Thursday that it’s introducing a new AI creator assistant on Facebook that will give creators personalized recommendations based on their content style, performance, community, and goals.

Overview

Creators often have to parse through charts and dashboards to understand their performance. With the new AI assistant, they can get quick answers to questions like:

  • “When should I post?”
  • “What are people saying in my comments?”

Because the assistant is conversational, creators can ask follow‑up questions and dig deeper on a topic, such as how their audience has shifted over time. The answers are based on the creator’s own presence and suggest actions to improve performance.

Features of the AI Creator Assistant

Performance Insights

  • Real‑time recommendations on posting times.
  • Summaries of comment sentiment and key discussion points.
  • Trend analysis of audience demographics and behavior changes.

Content Ideation

  • Brainstorming suggestions drawn from current trends.
  • Recommendations for using trending audio or aligning content with cultural moments.

Conversational Interaction

  • Ability to ask follow‑up questions for deeper insights.
  • Tailored advice that reflects the creator’s unique style and goals.

Rollout and Availability

The assistant is initially rolling out to creators in the U.S., Canada, and India. Meta plans to add new capabilities and expand to more countries in the future.

Impact on Creators

  • Keeps creators active on Facebook, competing with platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
  • Encourages more frequent posting, potentially boosting overall user engagement.
  • Reduces reliance on third‑party tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for brainstorming and performance analysis, keeping creators within Meta’s ecosystem.

AI Translations and Lip‑Sync Feature

Meta also announced new languages for AI translations on Facebook, including Arabic, Bahasa Indonesian, French, Thai, and Vietnamese. With AI‑translated Reels, a creator’s tone and sound are preserved and automatically translated into another language.

  • Lip‑sync option aligns the translation with the creator’s mouth movements for a natural feel.
  • Over half a billion Facebook users now watch AI‑translated videos weekly.
