Noscroll: Outsourcing Your Doom‑Scrolling

What if you could outsource your doom‑scrolling?
That’s the premise behind the new startup Noscroll, which offers an AI‑powered bot that browses your social feeds, news sites, and other online chatter, then texts you when something important happens.

“no feed. no brainrot. no ragebait, just signal.” – Noscroll’s pitch

The Problem

  • X (formerly Twitter) has the best information on the internet, but also the worst incentives and culture.
  • Users end up stuck in a loop of endless scrolling, exposure to toxic content, and information overload.

The Solution

Noscroll is an AI that does the scrolling for you and texts you only the things that matter.

  • No feed. No brain‑rot. No ragebait. Just signal.
  • Try it for free → 🙅🏼‍♂️

Who’s Behind Noscroll?

Nadav Hollander – former CTO of the NFT marketplace OpenSea (after OpenSea bought his DeFi startup in 2022).

“It’s phenomenally entertaining and really informative in ways you just don’t get from normal media,” Hollander told TechCrunch.
“But it’s so toxic culturally, and it’s just very upsetting to read… you just feel terrible after it.”

Hollander built Noscroll because he wanted to stay informed without the emotional toll of X. The service launched publicly a few days ago.

How It Works

  1. Sign‑up – Text the Noscroll AI agent at (415) 718‑4828.
  2. Connect – You receive a link to authorize Noscroll with your X account. This grants access to your likes, bookmarks, follows, and posts.
  3. Customize – In natural language, tell the bot what topics you care about (and what you don’t).
  4. Digest – Noscroll pulls data from X and from news sites, blogs, Reddit, Hacker News, Substack, research papers, local politics, etc.
  5. Delivery – You receive a text digest at a cadence you choose (weekly, daily, multiple times per day). Each digest contains:
    • A list of article links
    • A brief AI‑generated summary
  6. Interaction – Reply to the bot to ask follow‑up questions, add it to group chats (Telegram support coming soon), or request breaking‑news alerts.

Use Cases

  • Tech professionals – Keep up with AI news, product launches, and industry trends.
  • Entertainment fans – Follow reality‑TV gossip, favorite bands, or niche anime news.
  • Local enthusiasts – Track restaurant openings, community events, or municipal politics.
  • Job seekers – Monitor new listings, layoff announcements, and hiring trends.
  • Journalists – Stay on top of local politics, breaking stories, and beats.

“People are following really niche anime industry news and local restaurant openings in Kyoto,” Hollander notes.

“The archetype that’s been interesting is anybody who has a professional need to be very online and follow things very closely. It’s quite useful to have a deputy who’s kind of doing that for you on whatever your beat is.”

Adoption & Outlook

  • The AI bot has seen rapid adoption and already attracted investor interest.
  • Hollander built the product with a close friend, an open‑source developer from the CR community (details pending).

TL;DR

Noscroll lets you ditch the endless scroll while staying informed. By texting a simple number, you get a personalized, AI‑curated news digest that respects your time and mental health.
