Gameplay and Features

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls was first announced last year as a tag‑fighting game featuring superheroes such as Captain America, Ms. Marvel, and Spider‑Man, with an original launch window slated for 2026. At Sony’s State of Play, new details were revealed:

  • The game launches on August 6, 2026 for PS5 and PC.
  • The initial roster includes the Unbreakable X‑Men: Storm, Magik, Wolverine, and Danger.
  • Trailer footage shows each character’s distinct fighting style:
    • Magik and Wolverine favor aggressive melee combat.
    • Storm manipulates wind and lightning, while Danger offers a more varied attack set.
  • A team‑based finisher lets all four characters combine their abilities for a rapid flurry of attacks.
  • An Episode Mode introduces a new storytelling approach that blends manga aesthetics with American comic sensibilities.
