Launch Announcement

Apple’s recent crackdown on vibe‑coding apps hasn’t held up Lovable’s launch of its no‑code AI app builder, which is now available as a mobile app on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Key Features

  • Voice or text AI prompts – Capture ideas on the fly and let the AI agent generate code autonomously.
  • Cross‑device continuity – Switch between computer and phone, picking up exactly where you left off.
  • Build notifications – Receive alerts when a build is ready for review.
  • Web‑ready output – Turn ideas into working websites or web apps, complying with current App Store policies.

Context: Apple’s Policy Changes

Apple recently blocked updates to several popular vibe‑coding tools, including Replit and Vibecode, for violating developer guidelines that prohibit apps from downloading new code or altering functionality after approval. This restriction is intended to mitigate security risks and ensure the App Review team can properly vet each submission.

The company also temporarily removed the vibe‑coding app Anything from the App Store, only to restore it after the developer made the required changes. To comply, vibe‑coding apps can no longer run generated apps inside the host app; previews are now opened in web browsers.

Lovable’s Compliance

Lovable’s mobile app adheres to these new rules by focusing on generating “working websites or web apps” rather than executing downloaded code within the host application.
