Attachable AI Companion

Lenovo introduced a new attachable accessory for its laptops—a magnetic module that snaps onto the top of the display via the Magic Bay. The circular device houses an animated AI companion named Tiko, which can be interacted with through text, voice, or emoji.

  • Functions: start/stop music, open web pages, answer questions, and respond to emoji (e.g., a book emoji makes Tiko put on glasses and “read” with you).
  • Additional feature: a Pomodoro‑style timer for focused work sessions.

Lenovo plans to sell the Magic Bay accessory later this year, though exact pricing and release dates have not been announced.

AI Workmate Concept

Lenovo also showcased a “next‑generation AI work companion” that resembles a stationary tabletop robot with an orb for a head (similar to the Pixar lamp). The device combines cameras, microphones, and projectors to:

  • Generate and display presentations.
  • Transform written work or artwork into digital assets.
  • Project slides onto nearby surfaces.

The AI Workmate greets users, surfaces priority tasks, captures handwritten notes, recognizes gestures, summarizes tasks, and proactively helps organize the workday—all on‑device for security and responsiveness. The concept was presented in a video featuring animated eyes and was once referred to as “AI Sphere” (the name still appears in its YouTube description).

ThinkBook Modular AI PC (Concept)

PC Magazine highlighted another concept: the ThinkBook Modular AI PC. It appears as a conventional laptop, but a removable screen can be detached from the lid and attached to the keyboard deck, turning the keyboard into a wireless peripheral. The screen can also serve as a portable monitor via an included cable.

While still in the prototype phase, the design suggests a potential future product that could reach retail shelves.

Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept

Lenovo demonstrated a third concept, the Yoga Book Pro 3D, featuring:

  • Directional backlighting and eye‑tracking to create a 3D illusion by delivering slightly different images to each eye.
  • Gesture control for manipulating 3D models.
  • Dual OLED displays.
  • “Snap‑on pads” that, when placed on the screen, summon a GUI overlay offering quick‑access shortcuts for lighting, viewing angle, and tone adjustments.
