iOS 26.4 is set to be one of the most important updates ever for the iPhone, offering a suite of new Apple Intelligence and Siri features. A new report from Bloomberg today reveals Apple’s timeline for launching iOS 26.4.
These new Siri features were first announced at WWDC 2024, with the expectation they would launch as part of the iOS 18 cycle. In a statement last year, Apple formally delayed the features. Last month, it announced a partnership with Google to use Gemini models to power its new Siri and Apple Intelligence features.
Now, we’re getting very close to actually being able to try the new features for which we’ve been waiting 18 months.
Release timeline
In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple expects to release the first developer beta of iOS 26.4 the week of February 23.
A public beta is likely to follow later this month or in early March, with a full public release expected by the end of March.
New Siri features
iOS 26.4 will include three major Siri enhancements:
- Personal Context – Siri can locate specific information within notes, texts, and emails.
- In‑app and cross‑app actions – Control specific app functionalities directly via Siri.
- On‑screen awareness – Siri can perform actions on your screen.
New emoji
iOS 26.4 is also expected to include new emoji, such as an apple core, a fight cloud, a treasure chest, and more.
