Skye — an iPhone app still in private testing — aims to change how people interact with AI on their smartphones. Even before its public launch, the startup has attracted interest online, from investors, and “tens of thousands” of users, according to its creator.

What Skye Does

Instead of a traditional app or chatbot, Skye is building an agentic homescreen for the iPhone using iOS widgets as its interface. Through these widgets, the app provides ambient intelligence, offering personalized insights such as:

  • Local weather and context‑aware suggestions
  • Health‑related information
  • Drafted email replies and meeting preparation assistance
  • Reminders and flagging of suspicious bank charges
  • Location‑specific recommendations about businesses, neighborhoods, and attractions

All data is pulled in through authorized connections granted by the user.

Funding

  • Pre‑seed round: > $3.58 million raised, closed September 2025 (SEC filing).
  • Valuation: Post‑money valuation of $19.5 million reported by Pitchbook.

Backers include:

  • a16z (Andreessen Horowitz)
  • True Ventures
  • SV Angel
  • Offline Ventures (listed in its portfolio)

Founder & Team

The app is being built by a small team at Signull Labs. The founder, who goes by signüll on X, is identified in SEC filings as Nirav Savjani. He has previously worked at Google and Meta, though he maintains a low public profile (no obvious LinkedIn presence).

Public Reception

  • The creator announced that the waitlist already exceeds tens of thousands users, up from an initial 25 k.
  • Social media buzz includes millions of video views and a flood of investor inquiries.

“Holy fuck the response to yesterday’s lunch has been absolutely unreal. ~million views on our video, tens of thousands added to a waitlist that was already 25k+, & hundreds & hundreds of emails & DMs from investors & ppl genuinely excited about what we’re building.” — signüll, April 14 2026

Media Coverage

  • TechCrunch interviewed the founder (under pseudonym protection) and highlighted the product and funding details.
  • Savjani appeared on the TBPN podcast as his avatar and continues to post updates on X.
