Introduction to Solana (Web 3)

What is a Blockchain
A blockchain is a decentralized, distributed, and typically immutable ledger that is transparent on a public network, allowing anyone to view transactions. Think of it as a massive record of user transactions where each “page” of the record is stored on the interconnected users rather than on a single server. This is the core idea behind decentralization and distribution.
Connecting to any blockchain requires users to have wallet addresses, which can be viewed on the network. Most blockchains provide a public web interface to explore wallet transactions.
Solana is one of many blockchains, alongside Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and others.

Solana Explorer
Solana’s blockchain can be explored using the Solana Explorer, a public web interface that displays transaction details, account balances, and network statistics.
