Feeling Stuck

I thought I was slacking off. I felt like I wasn’t making any significant progress and often asked myself, “What’s the point of even trying?” Self‑doubt plagued me almost every day because I couldn’t finish a course on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I’ve always wanted to learn how to code, but when I finally started, I felt like giving up somewhere along the line.

The Turning Point

One day, while in the bathroom, it finally dawned on me that I hadn’t actually been wasting time. During those intervals, I had unintentionally taught a few classmates how to build a static page with HTML and CSS.

Embracing My Learning Style

I’ve learned to fully embrace and utilize my own learning style. Since then I’ve built a few personal projects and am now taking a course on JavaScript to better understand the fundamentals and how to apply them.

Moving Forward

In the past, I was looking for someone to tell me, “Get off your butt and work.” Now I no longer need that push because I’ve discovered a learning style that truly works for me.
