Overview

I just launched tempinbox.dev, a temporary email service aimed at developers, QA engineers, and anyone who regularly tests signup, OTP, or verification flows.

What It’s For

  • Trial sign‑ups
  • Testing registration flows
  • OTP / verification checks
  • Reducing spam in your personal inbox

How It Works

Instead of a single throwaway inbox, you can create up to three workflow inboxes in the same browser and switch between them.

  • Inboxes are persisted in the browser (until you delete them, clear browser data, or a cleanup policy removes old data).
  • Quick actions in the UI:
    • Generate New Email
    • Copy
    • Show QR Code
    • Refresh
    • Clear Inbox
    • Switch Address
    • Delete

A security check may appear before address creation when protection is enabled.

When Not to Use

Avoid temporary email for critical accounts such as:

  • Banking
  • Healthcare
  • Legal
  • Payroll / tax
  • Any recovery‑critical service

For those, use a personal authenticated email.

Technical Stack

Built on the Cloudflare stack (Workers / Pages) with a focus on a straightforward UX for real testing workflows.

Feedback Areas

UX Clarity

  • Is it obvious how to create, switch, and manage multiple inboxes?

Developer / QA Usefulness

  • Does the 3‑inbox workflow actually help in testing flows?

Friction vs. Abuse Protection

  • Is the security‑check experience reasonable?

Email Viewing Experience

  • Anything confusing about reading messages, refreshing, or clearing inboxes?

Feature Requests

  • What would make this genuinely useful for your workflow?

Try It

👉

If you test it, I’d appreciate:

  • A short comment with your use case
  • Any rough edges or bugs you encounter
  • One feature you’d like to see next

Thanks in advance for taking a look!
