Overview

I built ReferralLoop, a waitlist tool with viral mechanics, after getting tired of paying $79 +/mo for basic features.

Why I created it

  • Existing tools were expensive ($79‑199 /mo)
  • Missing essential features (no API, no webhooks)
  • Cluttered with unnecessary functionality

ReferralLoop solves these problems with a focus on developer‑friendliness and affordability.

What makes ReferralLoop different

  • Actual viral mechanics – Users move up in the queue by referring friends, not just “share to get updates.” This resulted in 3× more referrals in testing.
  • Developer‑friendly – Full REST API, webhooks, and Zapier integration. Competitors either lack an API or charge $200 +/mo for it.
  • Affordable – A useful free tier (up to 100 sign‑ups) and paid plans starting at $29 /mo with API access included.

Features

  • 8 professionally designed, fully customizable templates (Apple‑inspired minimal, gaming leaderboards, Shopify‑style, etc.)
  • Beautiful public waitlist pages
  • Automatic referral tracking and position advancement based on referrals
  • Email notifications
  • CSV export
  • Analytics dashboard
  • API + webhooks
  • Zapier integration (connect to 5,000+ apps)

Technology Stack

  • Framework: Next.js
  • Database: Supabase
  • Language: TypeScript
  • Styling: Tailwind CSS

  • Rewards – Automate gift‑card or cash payouts to top referrers when they hit milestones. Integration with the Tremendous API supports Amazon, Apple, Steam, Visa prepaid, and cash transfers.
  • Email Campaigns – Design and send massive email campaigns to your sign‑ups, with filtering options to target specific audiences.

Feel free to ask any questions or share feedback on features that would make you choose ReferralLoop over alternatives.
