I built a quiz game to tell Pokémon from prescription drugs

Overview

I built a small web game that asks players to guess whether a name is a Pokémon or a real prescription drug.

How it works

• A name appears (e.g. “Zyrtec”, “Garchomp”, “Xeljanz”)
• You guess Pokémon or Pill
• Faster answers earn more points
• Build streaks, unlock harder difficulties, and climb the leaderboard

Tech stack

• React 19 + Vite
• Framer Motion for animations
• PokeAPI for Pokémon data
• Drugs.com for medication info
• Google Sheets API as a lightweight leaderboard backend

I built it mostly for fun and curiosity, but people seem to enjoy comparing scores and challenging friends. Happy to answer any questions about the implementation or hear feedback.
