Overview

Samsung is taking the stage today to unveil its newest Galaxy S lineup — and possibly more. The Korean tech giant will be hosting its February Unpacked event in San Francisco, where it’s expected to launch a few new Galaxy S26 phones.

While we’re most certain that the event’s main focus will be on new phones, there’s a chance we could see Samsung tease its own smart glasses to take on Meta’s Ray‑Bans, a second‑gen Galaxy Ring, or even a Galaxy Fold Wide. We’ll have to wait until later today to see how Samsung’s announcements unfold. In the meantime, here’s what we know — and what rumors suggest.

When is Samsung Unpacked?

The event is scheduled for February 25 at 10 a.m. PST / 1 p.m. EST. It will take place in San Francisco, California.

What to expect

Rumors suggest we’ll see Samsung’s newest phone lineup, including the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, with camera upgrades, larger screens on lower‑end models, and some useful software features.

Since Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta has been available for a few months, it’s reasonable to expect the official release at Unpacked. New software features could include an expanded dark theme, upgraded Home Up and lock‑screen widget support, and, of course, more Galaxy AI everywhere.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumored to get a “Privacy Display” that would prevent wandering eyes from viewing the owner’s phone screen. The feature would block out messages from being viewed or darken the entire screen area when viewed from an angle. That Ultra model is also expected to get a new lineup of colorways, including White, Sky Blue, Cobalt Violet, and Black, according to Android Authority.

Smart glasses speculation

What about Samsung’s plans for smart glasses? Few rumors have surfaced on the topic, but during Samsung’s Q4 2025 earnings call, Seong Cho, EVP of Mobile Experience, said Samsung plans to release smart glasses later this year. Could today be the day? We hope so.
