How to Create a RACI Responsibility Matrix

Step 1: Identify Tasks and Deliverables

List all tasks, activities, and deliverables required for the project. This ensures every piece of work is accounted for.

Step 2: Identify Team Members

Determine all team members involved in the project and their roles. Include stakeholders, managers, and contributors.

Step 3: Assign RACI Roles

For each task, assign who is Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed. Ensure there is only one Accountable person per task to maintain clarity.

Step 4: Review and Communicate

Share the RACI matrix with the team and stakeholders. Adjust assignments if necessary, and ensure everyone understands their role.
