Hierarchy view improvements and file uploads in issue forms
Source: GitHub Changelog
Hierarchy view improvements in GitHub Projects
You now have several improvements to hierarchy view in GitHub Projects based on your feedback:
- Filter sub‑issues: You can now filter sub‑issues using syntax like
sub-issues.is:opento narrow your view to sub‑issues matching specific criteria. - Avoid showing duplicate issues: Items that appear in multiple places in the hierarchy are now deduplicated in most cases, keeping your views cleaner and easier to scan.
- Preserve expand/collapse state: When you expand or collapse sub‑issues, the state is now saved so the hierarchy stays the way you left it when you return to the view.

Issue forms now support a new upload field type
You can now add an upload field in issue forms to require key files like logs, screenshots, and crash reports up front, so issues come in with the context you need.
Move to next iteration in bulk
In GitHub Projects, you can now bulk‑move all items from one iteration to another directly from the group header menu. When your view is grouped by an iteration field, select “Move items to…” to quickly roll over unfinished work or reschedule items to a different sprint.
