Oppo Find N6 might be the first foldable to finally eliminate the display crease. In its latest teasers, the company details how it built a crease‑less foldable display.
Shared with GSMArena, Oppo’s teaser images focus on the foldable hardware, specifically the “2nd‑generation Titanium Flexion Hinge” and the display layers.
The updated hinge design uses special “photopolymer resin droplets” in a liquid 3D‑printing process that fills uneven areas of the hinge hardware. After the droplets fill the gaps, UV light solidifies them layer by layer.

Beyond the hinge, Oppo built the Find N6’s display hardware with a wider water‑drop design when folded, reducing stress on the display panel. A titanium alloy is used for the hinge and wing plates (the latter attached behind the display and to the hinge), while carbon fiber forms the main support plate that holds the display in place.
A key change is the “Auto‑Smoothing Flex Glass,” which is 50 % thicker than normal ultra‑thin glass and prevents the display from shifting during daily folding and unfolding.

Oppo says the Find N6’s crease‑less foldable display will stay flat with no visible crease for over 600,000 folds. The official launch is right around the corner.
