Apple unveiled iOS 27 today at WWDC, here’s what’s new for the Wallet app in the next major iPhone update.
Apple Wallet gets two AI-powered features in iOS 27, plus smaller refinements

Apple Wallet is continually improving, with several recent updates in iOS 26.
But iOS 27 will bring more new features to Wallet users.
Create a Pass is a new feature you’ll find when you hit the + button inside iOS 27’s Wallet app.
It enables you to create a pass in one of two ways:
-
Scan a physical pass to import it using your iPhone’s camera and visual intelligence
-
Create a pass manually from scratch
The former requires the next-gen Apple Intelligence capabilities. Creating a pass manually, meanwhile, provides you with three options: Standard, Membership, and Event.
The goal is that Apple wants to make the Wallet app your go-to hub for all kinds of passes, whether they’re digital or physical.

Split Bill with Apple Cash is another iOS 27 addition to Wallet.
When using the new Siri mode in the Camera app to scan a receipt, you’ll see the option to Split Bill with Apple Cash.
From here, the Wallet app open and you’ll be presented with options to ‘Request’ payment from others or ‘Pay Your Share.’
Beyond these two main features, iOS 27’s Wallet app also has some small UI updates, such as making the Orders feature easier to access. There’s an updated app icon for Wallet too.
