HBO Max is finally coming to the UK and Ireland

Launch Details
HBO Max is expanding to the United Kingdom and Ireland, joining more than 110 territories that already offer the service. The launch will bring titles such as The Pitt, One Battle After Another, Sinners, and the upcoming Harry Potter series. Some HBO shows, like Euphoria, have already been available in these regions through other platforms.
The service becomes available on Thursday, 26 March.

Industry Context
The expansion arrives as Netflix is preparing to acquire Warner Bros., which includes HBO and HBO Max. While there is no indication that this corporate move influenced the launch, Netflix has long been available in the UK and Ireland.
