UK makes AI‑generated explicit content a crime

The United Kingdom is criminalising the generation or request of AI‑made sexually explicit material starting this week, following the earlier ban on sharing deepfakes.

Regulatory scrutiny of Grok

The country’s communications regulator, Ofcom, has opened a formal investigation into the AI service Grok to determine whether it “has complied with its duties to protect people…” and to assess any potential breaches related to illegal prompting.
