GPT-5.2 is now generally available in GitHub Copilot

Release Overview

GPT‑5.2 is now generally available for Copilot Enterprise, Copilot Business, Copilot Pro, and Copilot Pro+. You can access the model in GitHub Copilot Chat on github.com, GitHub Mobile, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, JetBrains IDEs, Xcode, and Eclipse via the chat model picker (agent, ask, and edit modes). If you don’t have access yet, please check back later.

Enabling Access

• Copilot Business and Copilot Enterprise administrators must opt‑in by enabling the new GPT‑5.2 policy in Copilot settings. Once enabled, users in that organization will see the model in the picker across all supported IDEs.
• For individual plans, simply select GPT‑5.2 in the model picker of any supported IDE and confirm the one‑time prompt.
