Model Picker Overview
Copilot Pro and Pro+ subscribers can now choose a model when starting a Copilot coding agent session in the GitHub Mobile app. This lets you match the model to the task at hand without switching to desktop—whether you need faster responses on the go or a more capable model for deeper work.
Available Models
- Auto – Copilot automatically selects a model to optimize for speed and performance based on availability.
- Anthropic Claude Opus 4.5
- Anthropic Claude Opus 4.6
- Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.5
- OpenAI GPT‑5.1‑Codex‑Max
- OpenAI GPT‑5.2‑Codex
Availability
The model picker is currently available for Copilot Pro and Pro+ subscribers. Support for Copilot Business and Enterprise is coming soon.
