As AI tools continue to grow in popularity, Google’s Gemini is the fastest‑growing one by a huge margin, new data reveals.
SimilarWeb reports that, based on website traffic, Google Gemini is not only growing, but is the fastest‑growing AI website by a huge margin.
Looking at February 2026 versus February 2025, Gemini apparently grew by roughly 643 % year‑over‑year. Compare that to ChatGPT’s 37 % and you can see the massive difference. Growth doesn’t necessarily mean “biggest,” but it does show that Google’s offering is gaining popularity among users, whereas options such as ChatGPT and Perplexity (39 %) have mostly stalled.
On Gemini’s tail were both Grok and Claude, which grew by 480 % and 297 % in the same period, respectively, but were still a ways behind Google. DeepSeek, meanwhile, actually lost traffic year‑over‑year.
It’s also important to note that this analysis looks solely at website visits to gemini.google.com, not mobile apps or other means of access.
