Gemini notebooks now on Android and iOS
Following the launch earlier this month, Gemini notebooks are available on both Android and iOS. In the Gemini app, notebooks appear in the side panel between My stuff and Gems, with recent collections shown and a New notebook button at the bottom of the list.
Using notebooks
- Notebooks can act as simple folders for conversations (use the three‑dot overflow menu to group chats).
- They also serve as a dedicated space to organize your chats and files.
These notebooks sync with NotebookLM, so source limits apply based on your Google AI tier.
Source limits by tier
| Tier | Sources per notebook |
|---|---|
| Free | 50 |
| AI Plus | 100 |
| Pro | 300 |
| Ultra | 600 |
Google has indicated that Gemini notebooks are “coming soon to additional countries in Europe.”
iOS update with Liquid Glass
Google updated the Gemini app for iOS (version 1.2026.1710203) to target iOS 26. The update introduces the Liquid Glass keyboard and menus, visible when tapping the ‘plus’ menu. iPad users also receive an updated side panel. Apart from these visual enhancements, the app functions as before on Apple platforms.
