First Update Released

Samsung’s initial update for the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra is designated AZC7 and includes the February 2026 security update (as reported by Droid Life). The update addresses several security concerns and has reached most newer devices at the time of writing.

Samsung appears to be aligning the S26 series with its current update schedule, as many devices are currently behind. Once the March 2026 security update arrives, the S26 series should be first in line for subsequent patches throughout the next year.

Potential Bug Fixes

The update may also contain bug fixes. Some users have reported a bug that prevents certain apps from running because Google Play Protect blocks them unnecessarily. It is not yet known whether this patch resolves that issue.

Pre‑order Phase Ending

The update arrives as the Galaxy S26 pre‑order period is drawing to a close. Pre‑orders end on March 11, after which Samsung’s boosted trade‑in offers will no longer be available, making upgrades more difficult amid rising device prices.

How to Update

Users can update their devices by opening SettingsSoftware update.
