Laptops powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 chipsets are starting to hit the market, but Samsung’s Galaxy Book 6 Edge has just leaked with a major change – it will no longer be available in a smaller size.

New images and data obtained by WinFuture reveal the Galaxy Book 6 Edge, the Snapdragon‑powered counterpart to the rest of the Galaxy Book 6 series that went on sale recently (9to5Google coverage).

Specs

The Galaxy Book 6 Edge is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 series, using the higher‑end Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E‑88‑100 variant. It packs 18 cores and reaches top clock speeds of 4.7 GHz, making it one of the most powerful Snapdragon laptops on the market.

Other specifications include:

  • Battery: 61.8 Wh, advertised to last around 22 hours
  • Ports:
    • Two USB 4.0 USB‑C ports
    • Full‑size HDMI 2.1 port
    • MicroSD card slot
    • USB 3.2 USB‑A port
    • 3.5 mm audio jack
  • Configurations:
    • 16 GB RAM / 512 GB storage (base price €2,199 in Europe)
    • 32 GB RAM / 1 TB storage

Size Change

One of the most notable changes Samsung is making is the physical size of the Edge model. The 14‑inch screen option has been dropped, leaving only a 16‑inch variant. The display remains an AMOLED panel, but the shift to a larger chassis means Samsung is going “all‑in” on a bigger laptop.

  • The 16‑inch Edge reintroduces a numeric keypad to the keyboard, a feature that Samsung’s other large laptops (Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra) omitted in favor of top‑firing speakers.
  • The 14‑inch options are still available on the standard Galaxy Book 6 and Galaxy Book 6 Pro models.
