Several former Federal Communications Commissioners and staffers from both parties are urging a federal appeals court to compel the FCC to hold a vote on its News Distortion Policy. They argue that the policy should be repealed after it was allegedly abused by Republican Chair Brendan Carr.

On Tuesday, a group of petitioners asked the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia to require the FCC to vote on a petition to repeal the News Distortion Policy.
