Real‑time location sharing in Google Messages
Alongside the March 2026 Pixel Drop, Google announced that Find Hub’s real‑time location sharing is now available in Google Messages. The feature, which began rolling out last week for a limited set of users, expands on the existing static Google Maps link sharing.
- The conversation thread shows a live map view that can be tapped to expand.
- A new “Real‑time location” option (highlighted in green) appears in the attachments ‘plus’ menu.
- You can set a duration for the sharing session, and the map updates in real time, just like Find Hub and Google Maps.
Lost‑luggage sharing with airlines
If a piece of luggage equipped with a Find Hub tracker is lost, you can now share a secure link to the item with participating airlines directly through their mobile apps or websites.
- Sharing can be stopped at any time.
- Links automatically expire after seven days.
- Find Hub disables sharing as soon as your phone detects the item has returned to you.
Partner airlines
Google has partnered with the following carriers to support the luggage‑sharing feature:
- Ajet
- Air India
- China Airlines
- Lufthansa Group (Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Swiss International Airlines)
- Saudia Airlines
- Scandinavian Airlines
- Turkish Airlines
Qantas will add support in the future.
Samsonite integration
Google is working with Samsonite to embed Find Hub technology directly into new suitcase designs. Compatible Samsonite suitcases now ship ready to pair with the Find Hub network out of the box, giving travelers an easy way to stay connected to their belongings.
Find Hub on Wear OS
As part of the Pixel Drop, Google highlighted that the Find Hub app is available on the Pixel Watch and other Wear OS devices. The app originally launched on Wear OS in December 2025.
