Federal Communications Commission Chair Brendan Carr is urging broadcasters to air “patriotic, pro‑America content” in celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary. Carr says broadcasters can voluntarily indicate their commitment to the campaign by:

  • Starting the day with the “Star Spangled Banner” or the Pledge of Allegiance
  • Broadcasting daily programming that highlights historical events
  • Featuring specials that showcase local stories and American heritage
