Apple TV’s Dedicated F1 Channel
Apple has launched a dedicated Formula 1 channel inside the Apple TV app. It will be the hub for live race coverage, practice sessions, sprint races, and pre‑ and post‑race shows. The channel also hosts additional F1 videos (including a guide to the new rules) and the latest season of Drive To Survive.
Broadcast Details
- Feeds: Apple will stream the main F1 broadcast alongside the Sky Sports feed for every race.
- Quality: All grand prix events will be available in 4K with Dolby Vision and 5.1‑channel audio (no Dolby Atmos mentioned).
- Replay: Full replays of every session are offered, plus a 30‑minute condensed race replay. Apple is working on spoiler‑blocking for viewers who tune in after a race has started or finished.
F1 TV Premium Included
Apple TV subscribers receive F1 TV Premium for the 2026 season at no extra cost. Premium features include:
- On‑board camera feeds
- Team radio audio
- Live telemetry data
- Access to all live coverage of the grand‑prix weekend
You can watch races directly in the Apple TV app, use the F1 TV app, or combine both for a multi‑screen experience.
Note: Netflix will also stream the Canadian Grand Prix in May as part of the broader partnership that brought Drive To Survive to Apple TV.

New Interactive Features
When you open the F1 channel, the current weekend’s content appears at the top, and you can follow F1 to receive notifications about upcoming events. Available tools include:
- Driver Tracker and Driver Data panels
- Dedicated feeds for P1, P2, and P3 (the top three drivers)
- On‑board camera streams for each car
These features are accessible directly in the Apple TV app, eliminating the need to switch to F1 TV for basic data and camera views.
Multiview Options
Apple TV supports Multiview, allowing you to watch up to five feeds simultaneously:
- The main broadcast occupies the central pane.
- Up to two smaller panes on each side can display driver cams, telemetry, or other data.
Preset configurations are provided, and you can create custom layouts. For example, you could watch the main feed alongside on‑board cameras from Mercedes drivers George Russell and Lewis Hamilton (referred to as “Antonelli” in the source).

Audio‑Only Option
If you prefer to listen rather than watch, a dedicated Apple Music radio channel streams live race commentary.
Integration with Other Apple Services
- Apple News and Apple Sports will surface updated F1 content.
- Apple Maps will provide detailed information for fans attending races in person, helping them avoid road closures and other surprises on race day.
