MWC 2026 – Day 1 Highlights
March 2 – 5, Barcelona
Engadget’s Mat Smith is on the ground in Barcelona, and we’ll be updating this story throughout the week. Keep checking back for the latest MWC news.
Lenovo
Legion Go Fold
How silly does this look when its flexible display is fully extended in portrait mode?
— Sam Rutherford for Engadget
Lenovo arrived at MWC with a slew of new products and concepts, but the Legion Go Fold is stealing the spotlight.
- Concept foldable gaming handheld with a flexible display that can unfurl to 11.6 in or fold to 7.7 in.
- Detachable controllers and multiple mounting points let you switch between landscape and portrait modes.
- The left and right gamepads can be combined into a single controller with an accessory.
- The folio cover doubles as a kick‑stand for the display.
Laptop mode: a strip of pogo pins lets you attach a wireless keyboard. The right gamepad doubles as a mouse (scroll wheel + hidden sensor) and features a tiny circular OLED display that can show widgets (e.g., time) and act as a touchpad.
It’s a concept, so don’t expect production just yet – and if it does launch, it will likely be pricey.
Modular AI PC Concept

The Modular AI PC is a hybrid between a traditional clamshell and a dual‑screen notebook with hot‑swappable ports.
- Two displays and a detachable keyboard allow you to reposition the keyboard and secondary screen as needed.
- Demonstrated with USB‑C, USB‑A, and HDMI ports; other connectors could be added.
Lenovo says this will remain a concept.
