Even Realities' G2 smart glasses will keep an eye on your AI agent

Terminal Mode Announcement
Smart glasses maker Even Realities has unveiled Terminal Mode, which lets developers keep an eye on their AI coding agent even when they’re away from their desk. The feature provides a persistent icon on the G2 smart glasses that indicates what the agent is doing—thinking, listening, or executing. When the agent needs attention, the glasses notify the user, and the controller ring can be used to respond instantly, either by selecting a pre‑programmed reply or by using voice recognition to issue a custom instruction.
How It Works
- Persistent status icon: Shows the agent’s current state at a glance.
- Notifications: Alert the user only when the agent requires input.
- Controller ring interaction: Allows quick responses via menu selections or voice commands.
Previous Models and Reception
I previously praised Even Realities’ G1 glasses in a review, noting their elegance and usefulness despite a more limited feature set compared to competitors like Meta. My colleague Sam Rutherford found the G2 prototype to be “a little rough around the edges” during testing last November.

CEO Comments
Even Realities’ CEO Will Wang says Terminal Mode is designed to free coders from constantly monitoring a computer or phone while the AI agent is active. He envisions developers staying connected to their agents “during a coffee break, commute, workout or while running errands,” and using the feature to focus on debugging and fixing errors in AI‑generated code. Wang suggests the mode could also help prevent bots from unintentionally wiping production code.
