Overview

AirTags are an essential accessory for iPhone users who want to keep track of items like keys, wallets, and backpacks. While the battery in an AirTag can be replaced after its roughly two‑year lifespan, Elevation Lab’s extended‑battery case lets you avoid frequent replacements. The case is currently discounted 30 % to $16 (regular price $23).

What the Case Does

  • Extended battery life – When fitted with a pair of AA batteries (Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries are recommended), the case can extend the AirTag’s battery life to up to 10 years.
  • Standard AirTag runtime – An AirTag on its own runs for a little over a year on a CR2032 button cell.
  • Protection – The case is sealed with four screws and carries an IP69 waterproof rating.
  • Stealth – Its design doesn’t look like a typical AirTag case, which may make it less obvious to a thief that the item is being tracked.

Use Cases

The case is best suited for items that aren’t handled frequently, such as:

  • Suitcases
  • Backpacks
  • Other luggage or gear where you don’t need to access the AirTag often

It’s not ideal for small items like wallets or keyrings because the case is bulky and lacks a keyring hole.

Downsides

  • Muffled sound – The AirTag’s audible alert is reduced to about two‑thirds of its normal volume because it’s enclosed in the case.
  • Size – The bulkier form factor makes it unsuitable for compact items.

Pricing

  • Current price: $16 (30 % off)
  • Regular price: $23
