Overview

GitHub Docs now lets you launch GitHub Copilot prompts directly from select documentation pages.
Dynamic Copilot prompts streamline the workflow by moving you from the docs to Copilot with a pre‑filled prompt—no more manual copy‑and‑paste.

Prompt Types

Dynamic Copilot prompts come in three varieties:

• Inline prompts – Send general questions to GitHub Copilot.
• Prompt blocks – Open a GitHub‑related prompt in GitHub Copilot.
• Prompt blocks with context – Launch a prompt together with a relevant code block in GitHub Copilot.
