Downdetector and Speedtest – the free platforms that let users quickly check internet speeds or see if an online service is down – are set to change ownership. On Tuesday, consulting and IT services firm Accenture announced that it has agreed to acquire the Ookla‑owned platforms from Ziff Davis for $1.2 billion, as reported by Reuters.
