DJI launches the Mic Mini 2. But theres a catch.
Source: Mashable Tech
Last year, DJI’s Mic Mini was one of our favorite microphones for content creators. It just got a sequel — though you may have to wait to see it.
The miniature microphone array is back in the form of DJI Mic Mini 2, first spotted by The Verge.
Overview
DJI Mic Mini 2 is a compact wireless microphone system that builds on the original Mic Mini’s portable design. It retains the solid audio quality and mobile‑app integration that made the first version popular.
Pricing and Bundles
- €59 – basic bundle (charging case, wireless receiver, and a mic transmitter).
- €99 – premium bundle (larger receiver, two transmitters, and a bigger charging case).
Availability
The product is currently available in most markets worldwide, but not in the United States. DJI has not confirmed when—or if—it will launch in the U.S. market.
New Features
- Magnetic, swappable mic covers in multiple colors, allowing users to blend the microphones into their setup or make them stand out.
- New voice presets that give creators additional audio‑profile options.
All DJI products are facing long delays when it comes to launching in the U.S. — here’s why.
Legacy Review (Mic Mini)
Last year, Mashable found that the original Mic Mini was a great option for anyone who wanted portable, affordable audio recording. The audio quality was solid, and the device interfaced with a mobile app for easy settings adjustment.
