Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on PC on March 19. The announcement was made by Kojima Productions during the State of Play event.
Features
- Collaboration: Developed with Dutch studio Nixxes Software, which Sony acquired in 2021 to assist in porting PlayStation titles to PC.
- Setting: The sequel takes place in Australia roughly a year after the events of the original game, retaining the series’ post‑apocalyptic world and its strange creatures.
- Gameplay: Players once again control Sam Porter Bridges, reconnecting survivors to the Chiral Network.
Technical Improvements
- Performance: Uncapped framerates, support for 4K gaming, and compatibility with ultrawide (21:9) and super‑ultrawide (32:9) monitors.
- Upscaling: Works with NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel Upscaler and FrameGen technologies.
- Audio: 3D audio support via Dolby Access, DTS Sound Unbound, and Windows Sonic for headphones.
- Controls: Playable with mouse + keyboard or a DualSense controller.
