Overview

It’s Day 7 of the 12 Days of Svelte Apps 🎄 – a tiny holiday habit that takes less than a minute. Pick one word you heard today and look it up. It could be from a carol, a Christmas movie, a family recipe, or a caption you’re writing.

English Dictionary Mini‑App

The English Dictionary App is a clean word‑lookup tool that focuses on the stuff you actually want:

• Clear definitions
• Pronunciation (including audio when available)
• Synonyms and antonyms
• Examples and word origin (when provided)

How to Use

1. Type a word and hit Find Meaning.
2. Results are organized for quick skimming:
   • The word with phonetic spelling
   • Pronunciation buttons (tap to play)
   • Meanings grouped by part of speech (noun, verb, etc.)
   • Numbered definitions (with examples when available)
   • A small set of deduped, readable synonyms/antonyms

A Cached indicator appears when results come from cache – handy when you search the same word again.
