Day Off

I didn’t post yesterday; it was a full day off. My LeetCode and GitHub streaks broke again, and I restarted today. At this point, breaking and restarting streaks has become its own rhythm.

I woke up, did a LeetCode question, and hit the workout. I sometimes wonder if self‑hate is the only reason I work out consistently—whether it’s discipline or a socially acceptable form of self‑punishment. Probably both.

Coding Progress

Today I worked on the pipeline part in scikit‑learn. It’s not completed yet, but I’m making progress. Pipelines are interesting: they let you chain preprocessing and modeling steps together, making the workflow cleaner and deployment easier.

Personal Reflections

I need to admit something: along the way, growing up, I feel like I’ve lost what people call human affection. If I like someone—as a friend, not necessarily romantic—I immediately assume there’s no reason for them to like me back, so I cut them off first. It feels easier and cleaner that way.

My parents think I don’t have the kind of affection one should have. In yesterday’s argument, I learned that apparently I was “never supposed to be born,” which was said casually, as if it weren’t a big deal. Whatever; that’s how I feel now.

I don’t know when exactly I became like this—when caring about people started feeling like setting yourself up for disappointment, and when isolation became easier than connection.

A batchmate asked me to join her hackathon team today, but only as the “presentation guy.” I’m not needed to actually build anything, just to sell the idea. It’s funny how people recognize you’re useful for specific tasks but not enough to want you around otherwise. Transactional relationships are simpler, I guess.

Some days are about code and learning; other days you realize how disconnected you’ve become from people and wonder whether you want to fix it or are fine with it. Today was both.

Summary: Made progress on scikit‑learn pipelines; human connection remains pending, and perhaps it always will be.
