Overview

Corsair has refreshed its FRAME 4000D lineup with two new colorways as part of the limited‑edition Vault series. The case retains the modular design of the original FRAME 4000D but adds a hue‑shifting paint job, an upgraded front‑panel I/O, and a few other tweaks.

Design and Color Options

The Vault series is offered in:

  • Nova – shifts between blue, teal, and purple tones.
  • Galaxy – transitions from pink through green to gray.

Both finishes use a chromatic paint that reacts to light, creating different hues when viewed from various angles.

Front Panel I/O

  • Three USB‑C ports (replacing the two USB‑A ports found on the standard FRAME 4000D).
  • ARGB power button with a replaceable “MX‑Style green” mechanical switch for customizable feel.
  • 3.5 mm headphone jack (unchanged).

Side Panel and Internal Layout

  • The side panel now extends from top to bottom, eliminating the previous cut‑off above the PSU shroud.
  • The mesh section on the power‑supply side has been removed.
  • PSU shroud shortened to occupy only the lower half of the case, allowing a 120 mm fan to be mounted on the case floor for additional airflow.

Limited‑Edition Details

  • Each tower includes a numbered aluminum badge.
  • Production run: 1,337 units per colorway (2,674 cases total).
  • Price: $139.99 (does not include fans).
  • Compared to the standard FRAME 4000D and the FRAME 4000D RS ARGB (which ships with three RS120 fans for $124.99), the Vault version is slightly more expensive but offers the exclusive paint finish and I/O upgrades.

Compatibility and Features

  • Same highly modular build as the original FRAME 4000D, with customizable panels for various layouts.
  • Supports back‑connect motherboards.
  • Corsair’s InfiniRail fan‑mounting system: up to 200 mm fans in the front and 140 mm fans on the roof.

Conclusion

The FRAME 4000D Vault maintains the strong foundation of the original case while adding eye‑catching color‑shifting finishes and a modernized front I/O. Though it lacks bundled fans and carries a modest price premium, the limited‑edition badge and unique aesthetics make it a compelling choice for builders who want their PC to stand out. The case is backed by a two‑year warranty.
