Well Windows already caches updates anyway, regardless of Delivery Optimization (DO), and DO only shares across the local LAN by default. Since the PC already has the local cache, why not share it with other PCs on the same LAN if it can speed up download time? And if you only have one PC and don’t change the DO settings, then DO becomes even more irrelevant as it isn’t doing anything anyway.
