OpenAI adds built-in document viewer to ChatGPT’s Deep Research tool

OpenAI is updating ChatGPT’s Deep Research tool with a full‑screen viewer that lets you scroll through and navigate specific areas of its AI‑generated reports. In a video shared by OpenAI, the built‑in viewer opens ChatGPT’s reports in a separate window, displaying a table of contents on the left side of the screen and a list of sources on the right.

Deep Research, first launched last year, enables ChatGPT to scour the web and compile an in‑depth report on a topic of your choosing. With this latest update, you can ask ChatGPT to focus on specific websites and connect the information more directly within the viewer.
