Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is out in October, and it’s coming to the Switch 2

Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, slated for launch on October 23, 2026. Developed by Infinity Ward, the game will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and will be the first Call of Duty title to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2—a result of the 10‑year partnership Microsoft secured with Nintendo during the Activision Blizzard acquisition process.

Notably, Modern Warfare 4 will not be released for PS4 or Xbox One. Those legacy consoles have received Call of Duty releases since 2013’s Call of Duty: Ghosts, but Activision is now focusing on current‑generation hardware.
