Introduction

I’m a 3D artist and game developer, and over the years I’ve spent a lot of time working with PBR textures and 3D assets for games, environments, and real‑time projects. During that time, I realized how important three things are for artists, which led me to build PolyScan.

What is PolyScan?

PolyScan is a small but growing library of free CC0 PBR textures and 3D models created using real‑world photogrammetry workflows. Every asset is processed with the goal of being immediately usable in production—no special setup, no hidden restrictions.

Focus Areas

  • Clean, consistent PBR maps (Albedo, Normal, Roughness, Height 32‑bit, etc.)
  • Real‑world scale and believable surface detail
  • Assets that work well in Unreal Engine, Unity, and Blender
  • A simple CC0 license: no signup, no attribution required

Workflow

Most assets start as real‑world scans and are carefully cleaned and optimized for real‑time use. The emphasis is on practicality rather than experimentation—the kind of assets you can drop into a scene and start working right away. The project is still evolving, and the workflow is improved with every new scan.
