Recently, I’ve been thinking about what my dream phone would include — specifically, which specs, features, and overall design. Let’s start with a massive battery, say 7,500 mAh with fast charging to boot. Then, it needs great cameras, such as a 200 MP telephoto lens and 4K 120 fps LOG recording, to meet my professional videography needs. Add tiny bezels, a bright display, and a vapor‑chamber for cooling. Let’s include 512 GB of storage as well, just to be safe. Interestingly, if you put all that together, you get the OPPO Find X9 Pro.

I’ve tested many phones this year, from the Galaxy S25 Ultra to the Pixel 10 Pro XL, but none have excited me as much as the Find X9 Pro. Let me explain why.

An impressive camera setup, even without the zoom extender

The primary reason is its camera system: a 50 MP main lens, an ultrawide lens, and a 200 MP telephoto lens. Photos are detailed with slightly oversaturated colors that I like, and the color profile is consistent across all lenses. The ultrawide maintains edge detail without distortion, while the telephoto captures incredible detail, allowing aggressive cropping without a stark loss in quality.

OPPO also offers a physical extender lens (sold separately) that attaches via a case in about 10 seconds, unlocking 10×, 20×, and 40× optical zoom. While not practical for everyday use, the results are impressive.

Video capabilities are equally strong, supporting 4K 120 fps and LOG recording for professional color grading.

Plenty of phone in an attractive, compact package

  • Battery: 7,500 mAh, easily lasting a full day—or even two.
  • Display: 6.78‑inch 120 Hz LTPO OLED panel, up to 3,600 nits of brightness, with ultra‑thin bezels.
  • Performance: MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset (faster than Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in many tasks, and quicker than Tensor G5). AI workloads are snappy, and the device stays cool during gaming.
  • Audio: High‑quality speakers.
  • Charging: Rapid 80 W fast charging.
  • Storage: 512 GB.

The phone runs ColorOS with lively animations, solid customization options, and the Mind Space feature (also on OnePlus) for saving screenshots and planning trips with Google Gemini. OPPO promises five years of Android OS updates and six years of security patches.

OPPO Find X9 Pro hands‑on: The verdict

Paul Jones / Android Authority

Overall, the OPPO Find X9 Pro rivals the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Pixel 10 Pro XL. It delivers:

  • Reliable performance across the board.
  • Rapid 80 W charging.
  • Massive 7,500 mAh battery.
  • 200 MP Hasselblad‑tuned telephoto camera.
  • 512 GB of storage for heavy photography and videography workflows.

The major drawback is availability: it’s not sold in the US, though European markets will have access. Priced at €1,299 (~$1,515), the cost is justified by the amount of technology packed into the handset.
