Beginning of My Journey

About Me
Hello world!
My name is Henry Han, and my Korean name is Sehun Han. I lived in Nicaragua for 15 years and attended an American school, which made me fluent in English, Spanish, and Korean. I love to work out, eat, go for drives, walk in parks, and enjoy anything related to keyboards. I am a Computer Science graduate from Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in South Korea.
Career Transition
I was not very motivated at the time and got distracted by a lot of things. I have always regretted not trying my best during university; that feeling haunted me like a ghost. Even when I was working in other roles, such as Global Sales for a pharmaceutical company, I wasn’t happy. I knew I had taken the role not because I was passionate about medicine, but because it was an easy way to avoid being jobless.
About a month ago, I left my job to dedicate my time to studying programming, computer science, and everything dev‑related. I know it will be a rough market to get a job, especially with AI replacing many junior positions. However, I decided that I didn’t want to run away anymore from the dreams of my younger self: to be a genius programmer, just like the hackers in Hollywood movies.
Future Plans
My plan is to study full‑time for the next 1 to 2 years to land a junior developer role. My interests are in backend development, and I created this blog for “Today I Learned” (TIL) posts and occasional journaling. I am open to all networking and am looking forward to learning from the community. Hopefully, I can become highly skilled in this field and return the generosity.
Looking forward to starting this journey, and also making friends along the way! 😊
P.S.: I do not want to put too much time in styling my posts (initially), so please excuse the messy formatting!
